Mikael Silkeberg has been working as a professional photographer since 1984. He holds a degree from Biskops Arnö, The Nordic School of Photography, and has been a student of the well known photographer Christer Strömholm. His work as an established photographer covers a wide spectrum – from advertising to artist portraits, such as Emilia’s successful debut album, “Big Big World”. Mikael has been employed by Svensk Filmindustri, and is frequently hired by Swedish theatres.
Somewhere between all his commercial assignments, Mikael´s fine art is created. His art can be inspired by his very own ideas, or come as a natural development from a commercial project.

I considered New York to be the perfect place to create a video and a cover for her debut album, and off we went. Despite a very tight schedule, a simple setting and above all, a very strained budget, we managed to prove ourselves – Big Big World sold 6 million copies worldwide.”
